Employment Units Principal Contractor Appointment

The Employment Units development is part-funded by DCMS & Arts Council England and intended to act as an incubation and expansion space for businesses. These are anticipated to be existing tenants, as well as start-ups and local creative companies.

Wakefield Council was one of only five in the country to be successful in bidding into the £20m Cultural Development Fund, in the first government investment of its kind.

A key part of the plan will deliver an exciting and innovative new expansion to the Production park site in South Kirkby including an innovation hub and managed workspace and incubation aimed at supporting the growing love events cluster based on the park.
