2018 marks the third consecutive year that Litestructures has partnered with the Ford Chip Ganassi Racing team, competing with two Ford GTs in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

Ford’s return to endurance racing in 2016 was inspired by the 50-year anniversary of the marque’s 1-2-3 victory at the 1966 Le Mans 24 Hours. The stars aligned when the team won the GT Class in 2016.

Throughout the last three seasons, Litestructures has supplied bespoke-built garage gantries with LED lighting and integral engineer stations to the Ford Chip Ganassi Racing team.

Miles Marsden, Client Director at Litestructures, commented: “The system has been enhanced for the 2018/19 WEC Super Season. We’ve added overhead lockers above the engineers’ units and new-look side pods complete with additional mains supplies.”

Our unique gantry system with concealed cable management, coupled with integrated LED lighting and the illuminated Ford logo, really sets the Ford garages apart.

The Ford Chip Ganassi Racing team has carried on its strong performance from previous seasons with an opening victory at the ‘6 hours of Spa’, Belgium in the #66 GT. All eyes are now on 16th and 17th June when the team returns once again to compete at one of the toughest races of all time at the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours.
