The Company

Production Park is the number one live events production destination in Europe, featuring two rehearsal studios, over 15 events businesses and the UK’s only Live Events Production University Centre, Backstage Academy.

The rehearsal studios on-site bring a variety of world class tours and productions to Production Park as well as providing space for test builds.

Production Park is also home to workshops, offices and machine shops belonging to a group of long established engineering, technology and creative specialist businesses.

General Duties:

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the HR department
  • Design and work across HR projects
  • Keep up to date with UK employment legislation
  • Develop and maintain HR policies
  • Administration of employee-related paperwork, such as employment contracts, new starter packs, or formal notices of termination
  • Managing talent pools and succession plans to ensure the company can continue to operate in the future
  • Providing HR reports to senior management teams
  • Coordinate work placement, intern and apprenticeship processes
  • Handle any TUPE cases
  • Manage HR personnel files and maintain records
  • Oversee organogram updates and job descriptions
  • Assist with organisational communications
  • Direct line management of HR Assistant
  • Arrange social events including our annual group conference
  • Oversee company property for employees including, accommodation, vehicles, laptops and phones
  • Ensure that employee confidentiality is adhered to

Recruitment & Selection:

  • Support managers and team leaders on all recruiting matters including permanent and temporary staff
  • Manage the recruitment and selection processes from initial stage through to completing new starter inductions

Absenteeism Management:

  • Overseeing staff attendance and absence monitoring including sickness, holidays, maternity and paternity requests

Training, Health & Well-being:

  • Overseeing training and development of employees.
  • Support employee development and training projects
  • Ensure safety and well-being best practice is being implemented
  • Ensure occupational health checks are up to date
  • Manage the training matrix

Employee Relations:

  • Manage investigation and complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy.
  • Ensure employee relation cases are managed to meet best practice requirements

Support Management:

  • Advise managers on the terms and conditions of employment, HR policies/ procedures and knowledge share best practice with them

Support Management:

  • Monitor and develop performance appraisal systems and annual pay review
  • Ensure performance standards are met
  • Manage monthly employee reward scheme


  • Position – Full-Time
  • Salary – Dependent on experience.
  • Location – South Kirkby, Wakefield
  • Hours – 40-hour week (full-time) 8:30am to 17:30pm.
