The Company

Production Park is the number one live events production destination in Europe, featuring three rehearsal studios, over 15 events businesses and the UK’s only Live Events Production University Centre, Backstage Academy.

The rehearsal studios on-site bring a variety of world class tours and productions to Production Park as well as providing space for test builds.

Production Park is also home to workshops, offices and machine shops belonging to a group of long established engineering, technology and creative specialist businesses, including Litestructures, LS-Live, CATO Music, Perry Scenic Creative and Brilliant Stages.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Waterjet and CNC tool paths from supplied data.
  • Identifies material types and thicknesses according to work orders.
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings and sketches to plan; program CNC machines and water jets in a high-precision environment with complex parts.
  • Makes calculations for programming including where materials should be cut.
  • Use measuring equipment and check each part before and after machining.
  • Communicate with Shift Supervisor and Lead Person to determine acceptability when questions/problems arise.
  • Perform and document quality checks as required.
  • Creates instructions for machinists.
  • Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests.
  • Prepares geometric layout of designs using the correct software.
  • Determines sequence of operations in a program.
  • Chooses cutting tools that will be needed.
  • Analyses job order and perform necessary calculations.
  • Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency.
  • Analyses and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs.
  • Monitors all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and successfully complete the task.

General Responsibilities:

  • Actively follow all company employment, fire, health, and safety policies
  • Potential overtime when required
  • Attend staff meetings and training as required
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as may be required
  • Adhere to filing and drawing management guidelines

  • Position – Full-Time.
  • Salary – Dependent on experience.
  • Location – South Kirkby, Wakefield.
  • Hours – 40-hour week (full-time) 8:30am to 17:30pm.
