Production Park sponsors ‘Adolescence’ panel at Creative Cities Convention

As official studio partner of the 2025 Creative Cities Convention, Production Park is proud to sponsor a panel discussion on Thursday 8 May at 3.25pm with the makers of Netflix’s one-shot crime drama Adolescence.

Warp Films will take centre stage for the session at next week’s event in Bradford, when Peter Balm, Commercial Director and Gwen Gorst, Executive Producer will talk about the company’s stellar TV hits, including their globally acclaimed series which was filmed almost entirely at Production Park’s Studio 005 last summer.

Co-produced by Warp with Matriarch Productions and Plan B for Netflix – Adolescence tells the story of a family’s trauma when a thirteen-year-old is arrested for the murder of a teenage girl.

Our sponsored session at the Conference will feature the team from Warp who will discuss the development of Adolescence from inception through to delivery. The discussion will also show why and how out-of-London production is becoming so vital for the sector.

Creative Cities is the annual conference for Film, TV and digital content creators working outside the capital. Next week (7-8 May) professionals from the TV, film and gaming sectors will converge on Bradford, the UK’s City of Culture 2025.

Director of External Affairs at Production Park Jim Farmery said: “Creative Cities spotlights the wealth of talent and opportunity that exists in the media industry all around the UK. Adolescence is a powerful example of the type of world class content that can be made right here in Yorkshire.

“As location base for this history-making TV series, we are delighted to be helping facilitate this panel discussion which will be one of the highlights of next week’s event.

“Production Park is the largest multipurpose studio space in the North of England, so we were able to work closely with Warp when they took over several of our spaces last year and advised them on nearby location options for extra filming too.”

Production Park is a campus-based studio complex where scenes for major TV productions including Boat Story (BBC iPlayer) and Bank of Dave (Netflix) have been filmed. It is also extensively used by internationally acclaimed musicians and crews including Pink, Metallica and Coldplay who have visited the Park’s studios in West Yorkshire to test their arena shows.

Broadcaster Nick Ahad will host the panel which is the penultimate session at this year’s Creative Cities Convention. For more information visit www.creativecitiesconvention.com
