Production Park

The Company

Production Park is the number one live events production destination in Europe, featuring two rehearsal studios, over 15 events businesses and the UK’s only Live Events Production University Centre, Backstage Academy.

The rehearsal studios on-site bring a variety of world class tours and productions to Production Park as well as providing space for test builds.

Production Park is also home to workshops, offices and machine shops belonging to a group of long established engineering, technology and creative specialist businesses.

The Role

In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Finance Director, and will form a key part of our Production Park strategy to improve the links between the finance team and the wider business.

Key Responsibilities will be as follows:

Financial Processes

  • Ledger control for sales ledger, purchase ledger and cashbooks, and all nominal ledger accounts
  • Ensure procedures are being followed to prevent fraud and duplicate transactions

Financial Reporting

  • Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts
  • Prepare thorough monthly nominal ledger reconciliations
  • Ensure monthly stock takes are carried out and check accuracy
  • Assist with the preparation of draft annual statutory accounts
  • Deal with auditor queries and questions

Management Reporting

  • Produce weekly financial and sales KPI’s
  • Perform weekly and monthly reviews of project performance vs budget. This should include costs vs budget and hours vs budget
  • Interrogate the movement in project revenue from quote to actual
  • Issue weekly reports on sales orders and invoices raised
  • Track weekly manufacturing output vs projection and budget
  • Compile monthly reports showing revenue and costs project by project, for the month, year and project lifetime
  • Perform a monthly stock reconciliation for raw materials and compare expected usage to actual
  • Compile other analysis on an ad hoc basis
  • Utilise the hire tracker system to provide analysis on stock utilisation and aging
  • Monitor costs spent on new product development
  • Provide monthly and year to date analysis on module costs
  • Provide analysis on costs per student per module
  • Monitor property revenue vs costs

Government Reporting

  • Submit intra-stat returns on a monthly basis
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns
  • Complete Office of National Statistics Returns as required
  • Company secretarial reporting/Annual Return submissions


Skills Required:

  • The ability to work to monthly deadlines
  • An aptitude for IT – knowledge of software packages like Excel & Sage50 would be useful.


  • Position – Full-Time 40-hour week 8:30am to 17:30pm
  • Salary – Dependent on experience.
