2025: A Year in Review at Production Park

2025 has been a landmark year for Production Park, welcoming world-class artists, major TV productions and industry leaders to campus while playing a key role in national creative conversations. As we look ahead to an exciting 2026 expansion, we reflect on the standout moments that defined the past year.

TPi WIN - Favourite Rehearsal Facility

In February, Production Park won Favourite Rehearsal Facility at the TPi Awards 2025,  a testament to our team and world-class facilities used by major artists  for complex tour rehearsals. This win highlights the importance of our unique ecosystem, which fosters collaboration between creative companies and supports high-end production needs, as well as the hard work of the people who make sure everything runs smoothly.

We've once again been shortlisted for this category in the 2026 TPi Awards.

Production Park at SXSW 2025

SXSW 2025 was another incredible year at the British Music Embassy (BME) and UK House! Once again, our team made the journey to Austin, Texas, to run the BME stages - seamlessly delivering over 50 performances across two stages in just eight days.

With its unique blend of music, technology, and entertainment, SXSW remains a key global platform for emerging talent. As always, our Production Park crew was at the heart of the action, ensuring every act had the best possible experience.

“This was my eighth SXSW, and without a doubt, the best one yet,” Wilkinson shared. “After years of searching for a new home following the closure of the legendary Latitude 30, the British Music Embassy and UK House found their perfect base at The Palm Door on the world-famous 6th Street. The entire team came together to deliver an incredible line-up of showcases, activations, and panels.”

Festival Headliners & Global Acts

Festival season once again saw Production Park and The Mill buzzing with activity, as a host of headline artists chose our facilities for their pre-festival rehearsals.

From The 1975, ahead of their Glastonbury headline set, to Sleep Token preparing for Download Festival, artists and their teams trusted our spaces to fine-tune performances before stepping onto the world’s biggest stages.

Other major acts to rehearse at Production Park this year included Post Malone (production only), Kings of Leon, Slipknot, Tate McRae, Charli XCX, Little Simz and Sabrina Carpenter.

Oasis Reunion at The Mill

The Mill played a part in one of the most iconic moments in live music this year, with the long-awaited return of Oasis.

For six weeks, the band took over the studio to prepare for their first live shows since 2009. The first time the band played together in 16 years happened under our roof.

“It was great getting to hear the old songs again and catch up with the tour team, led by the excellent Tony Gittins. We’re proud to have played a pivotal role in this iconic return and to support the fantastic production team who brought the vision to life.”
Ant Forbes - Studio Manager, The Mill

TV & Film

Production Park continued to expand its footprint in high-end television. Netflix drama Adolescence, filmed largely on campus, hit the screen back in March and quickly became Netflix's second most-watched English-language series ever with over 142 million views in its first 91 days.

We also played host to The Voice UK who filmed its semi-final and final stages at Production Park, marking our first major collaboration with ITV.

Adolescence

Filmed over six months at Production Park in 2024, Adolescence sparked national and international debate and has since swept awards for its technical ambition, creative excellence and standout performances. We were proud to attend the RTS Craft Awards with Warp Films, where the production took home five awards.

Filmed entirely in a single continuous take, the production required extraordinary precision. Every movement of the cast, camera and crew was meticulously choreographed to ensure a seamless flow without a single cut.

Last summer, Warp Films transformed Studio 005 into the central set for the drama.

“We loved working at Production Park. It was a great space to build our sets and the day-to-day atmosphere was fantastic.”
Mark Herbert -CEO, Warp Films

The Voice UK

We were delighted that Production Park was selected as the filming location for the semi-final and final of The Voice UK - one of ITV’s most iconic entertainment shows.

“We were looking for somewhere to host the semi-finals and finals. We looked at loads of different areas, but Production Park just had absolutely everything. They could facilitate a team of 300 people who descend and completely take over. They ticked every box — it was a no-brainer.”
Maisie Maguire -Executive Producer, The Voice UK

Creative Leadership & Industry Engagement

Throughout 2025, Production Park has continued to engage with the wider industry both on campus and at major conferences, events and award ceremonies.

Our team contributed to discussions across FOCUS London, Content London, BFI events, BFC events and the Labour Party Conference, covering topics such as studio utilisation, funding models, regional investment imbalance, and the convergence of stage and screen technologies.

This year’s Creative Cities Conference, hosted in Bradford, brought together leading voices shaping the UK’s screen industries beyond London. As Official Studio Partner, Production Park sponsored a panel discussion with Warp Films, creators of Adolescence.

Government Visits

Production Park welcomed Lisa Nandy MP, Secretary of State for Culture, Media & Sport as part of the launch of the UK Government’s Creative Industries Sector Plan.

West Yorkshire was selected as one of six regions to benefit from the £150 million Creative Industries Growth Fund, and Production Park was chosen to host this visit as a standout example of a thriving creative cluster.

Creative Innovation & Accolades

This year our CEO, Lee Brooks, has been recognised for his part to play in the creative industries and the innovation Production Park has brought to the sector, once again being chosen once again to join the Creative Industries Council.

Production Park continues to champion the UK’s live events and experience economy at a national level, and Lee's selection reflects the strength of the creative industries ecosystem Production Park has built - and continues to grow at pace.

We were also proud to celebrate , Lee Brooks winning The Innovation Award, recognising the Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders of 2025 as decided by LDC and The Times.

The award recognises Lee’s vision in transforming Production Park into a global hub for live entertainment, and the creative industries. Under his leaderships Production Park has developed into a unique ecosystem where creativity, technology and education come together.

Production Futures On Tour

Over 1000 young people from across the UK gathered at Production Park in West Yorkshire at Production Futures On Tour to learn about the range of evolving careers in stage, screen and live event sectors.

From Production Managers and Lighting Designers to Creative Technologists and Virtual Production Specialists, the event demonstrated how both traditional craft roles and new technology-driven disciplines are reshaping the future of the industry.

Looking Ahead to 2026

With exciting expansion plans underway, our studio diary filling up fast, and a continued focus on research and development, we’re looking ahead with confidence and ambition.

Here’s to an even bigger and bolder 2026 for Production Park.
